HIFIMAN Shangri-La Sr Electrostatic Headphones2024

The Nanotech driver from Shangri-La combines lightning-fast response with almost negligible distortion. Its diaphragm coated with nanoparticles offers a very high frequency response.

Advanced Technology

Superior openness and reduced distortion are provided by metal mesh stators that operate in close proximity to the ultra-fine diaphragm. Special alloys are used in frames to minimize distortion and provide acoustic stability. The mesh grating is acoustically transparent since its width is only 50um, allowing sound waves with frequencies lower than 1 million Hertz to pass through.

Features

  • Nanotech drivers combine a quick transient response with almost no distortion and are less than 0.001 mm thick.
  • Extended high-frequency response is provided via diaphragms coated with nanoparticles.
  • For increased openness and less distortion, metal mesh stators operate in close proximity to the diaphragms.
  • Special alloys are used in stator frames to minimize distortion and guarantee acoustic stability.
  • The mesh grating, which is only 50 µm thick, permits sound waves below 1 MHz to travel through bias voltages of 550 to 650 V.
  • Lightweight and ergonomic design

HIFIMAN Shangri-La Sr Electrostatic Headphone Amplifier

It has four of HIFIMAN’s specially crafted 300B tubes, which act as the Shangri-La’s warm, throbbing heart and source of its musical vitality. The direct driving stage is the 300B tube. Since there are no transformers between the tubes and the headphones or capacitors in front of them, the Shangri-La may be the only system that allows you to hear the heavenly sound of the 300B directly.

Features

  • On top of the amplifier are eight vacuum tubes: four 6SN7s and four specially built, custom-designed 300Bs.
  • There are no capacitors or transformers between the 300B tubes and your headphones; they function as the straight driving stage.
  • 24-step volume control is made possible using a relay-based attenuator with 23 independent resistors.
  • robust aluminum alloy used in aircraft with a top panel made of tempered glass that contrasts
